Eminem and Lil Wayne to play two Aussie gigs
Eminem is set to join forces with Lil Wayne for a series of concerts Down Under. The Lose Yourself rapper almost had his Australian tour blocked ten years ago. Wayne, who was jailed for eight months last year on gun charges, will headline the six-hour hip hop extravaganzas in Sydney and Melbourne in December. But the once-controversial bad boys seem to have turned over a new leaf. The Herald Sun reported that Eminem, 38, is now sober and a primary caregiver to three daughters, while Lil Wayne has said that he is planning to quit rap to be a positive role model to his three kids. Promoter Paul Dainty he is expecting the gigs to be trouble-free. "It's all very professional and there are no problems," Dainty said. "We are in a different space with Eminem than we were 10 years ago. He's crossed over to the mainstream and become a pop-culture icon." Tickets are $150 and will go on sale at 9am on September 13.

Eminem smuggles 'shady burgers' on the sly
Eminem reportedly used a lookalike to distract fans while he snuck off for a McDonald's in London. The 28-year-old super-fit Slim Shady rapper used a double to make the press and public waiting outside his hotel think he had just left, when in fact he was waiting to sneak his fast-food haul back in, according to the Daily Star. A source told the newspaper, "He got his security to send the decoy out in a car so he could take his food back to his hotel without being spotted."

Eminem reportedly asked for a pond stocked with koi carp when he performed at a festival in Northern Ireland last week. The 38-year-old rapper put in an appearance at Tennent's Vital festival in Bangor, where he request for a wooden pond filled with fish was apparently met. According to The Sun, the water feature was constructed backstage in his VIP garden and filled with the colourful fish which cost between £200 and £600. He is also believed to have asked for a microwave, a full-length mirror, dumbbells, rolling clothes racks, seedless watermelon, yogurt, pretzels and an assorted vegetable tray with ranch dip.

Eminem 'didn't want to be seen' backstage at V Festival
Eminem reportedly asked that no-one be allowed to roam backstage before his performance at V Festival because he 'did not want to be seen'. According to The Mirror, even Rihanna, who he performed Love The Way You Lie with, was asked to stay in her dressing room while the rapper was smuggled back stage. His friend and singer Skylar Grey, 25, said, "I feel sorry for Em. It's kind of sad. I see a lot of isolation. I wonder if he has got any really close friends. "I think he is scared to go out the front door 'cos somebody is always waiting for him. Everybody wants something from him... Seeing him so isolated behind a lot of protectors, I feel bad for him."
Eminem bags 2m for festival performance
Eminen reportedly bagged a cool £2 million for performing at the UK's V Festival at the weekend. The rapper took to the stage as a headline act at Weston Park, Staffordshire, on Saturday and Chelmsford, Essex, on Sunday, for £1 million per gig, according to The Sun. His two 90-minute slots are believed to have made this year's event the most expensive weekend in the festival's 16-year history. A source claimed Eminem chose the festival over a tour because it is the fastest money-maker. "Eminem is a smart guy. Him and his management know they'll make cash quicker and without the hassle of organising and promoting gigs," the insider said. "He has few overheads. He only needs roadies and a DJ.
